-The house I am planning will most likely be a dome.
-I am considering a sunroof or solarium with a large pool of water
-underneath.The water holds heat/cool.
-In the water I plan to have fish.
-The pool will be hooked up to some hydroponic growing beds.
-The plants will purify the water for the fish, while getting
-organic food from the fish wastes.Bacteria convert Nitrates and Ammonia
-to a form the plants can use.
-You get to harvest both vegetables and fish from the system, while keeping
-the home warm/cool,and having a great aquariun & houseplants!!

Indeed! I'm working on just such a system here. When it's up and
running, I'll post some URL's pointing to the pictures on my website.

Thanks for the other references. Another good place to check out is
"Real Goods". They're a supplier of tools & books on off-the-grid living,
and have everything from composting toilets to solar cell arrays, power
inverters, propane-powered fridges, water pumps & purification systems, and
a whole bunch more.
