Partial Solar Eclipse - 6/2002


Pat and i took these photos of the eclipse using his 8" newtonian reflector telescope.and my Canon EOS Elan IIe camera at prime focus. 800mm focal length, f/4, didn't note the duration. The dark spot on the sun in the first one is, indeed, a sunspot. The dark area on the second one is probably a tree branch, since the sun inconveniently started slipping behind our treeline at maximum eclipse.
