Check out Polyvinyl Acetate fibers. (PVA)
Might also be a good material for making concrete countertops.

I know there are some materials like Grailcote being used to make concrete surfaces and seams more crack resistant, but I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like this stuff.  Its also lighter than standard concrete so might make good dome panels.  Even perhaps a concrete canoe that will bounce off the rocks...   :-)
