There are no stupid questions!

Bracing the corners is putting a brace at the apex of the corner - kind of 
like the letter "A" - where the cross-piece braces the angle formed by the 
two uprights. It "solidifies the angle". The only difference is that the 
ends of the braces have to be cut to reflect the angles of the uprights, as 
they are slightly canted off-center, and this is caused by the position of 
the boards as they are bolted to the Starplate hubs. It's no big deal 
though, I used a solid 2x2 cardboard "stick" to determin the end angles and 
applied it to all of the bracing.
