    I did ask the inspector what brand was approved and  he said RENAII 
(spelling), but when I called the local distributor Rinai does  not make electric, 
which led me to the BOSCH tankless hot water heater and a  quote of $900. It 
is looking more and more like a conventional hot water heater  at this point.
